Genee
This is Oelamp's Next Generation PT, also known as Genee, at 4 weeks old. Genee is the puppy I kept from Flicker's first litter. She has her dad's coloring, but she definitely has her mother's temperament. She is a headstrong puppy and likes to get her own way. I'm spending a lot of one on one time with Genee to develop a working relationship between the two of us, making sure she understands that I'm the leader of the team.
I've started training Genee in herding and she has a lot of natural talent, with very square flanks and a strong desire to prevent the sheep from getting away. The picture below was taken during her second qualifying leg toward her PT title at the Border Collie National Specialty, October 2009.
Genee has also started showing in the conformation ring. She doesn't have any points yet, but she's gotten really nice comments from some of the judges.
My future plans for Genee include continuing her training in herding and agility and continuing competing in the conformation ring. Provided her health checks all come back clear, she will be bred in two to three years.
