Today was a very busy day for the puppies, filled with lots of changes. This morning, for the second time, Shammy climbed out of the whelping box (scaled a 22 inch flat wall!) and was running through the kitchen when I came up from feeding the adult dogs in the basement. So, we quickly got the wire puppy pen (with a top on it) ready and moved the pups into their new home.

Then, I took 1/2 day off to take the puppies over to Woodstock for their BAER test (hearing). This was their first car ride, first time being confined in a crate and first time being inside anywhere but home! I am very pleased to say that all five puppies have normal hearing in both ears.

When we got home, the puppies were fed for the first time individually in their own crates. Leprechaun was NOT impressed with solitary confinement in a crate! Then they got wormed and then we tried to take pictures. Not an easy task - they were very tired and irritable and even peanut butter couldn't get most of them to stand still. So, sorry for the poor quality on some of the pups - this was the best we could do tonight. I'll try to get better shots next week.
